We’ve got Champions League predictions from Wednesday’s fourth round of group-stage matches and are hoping to land a 16/1-plus acca if they all come in.
Don’t forget to watch out for bwin’s Enhanced Accas, with price boosts provided on a number of popular combinations throughout all competitions.
Borussia Monchengladbach to beat Shakhtar Donetsk @ 11/20
Monchengladbach are the surprise Group B leaders at the halfway stage of the campaign and will be determined to remain out in front ahead of their last two games against Inter Milan and Real Madrid. They thrashed Shakhtar 6-0 earlier this month, with Alassane Plea bagging a hat-trick, and look a home banker in the return fixture as the first of our Champions League predictions.
Manchester City to win at Olympiacos @ 3/10
A trip to Greece offers Manchester City the chance to forget about their domestic problems and secure their place in the last 16 of the Champions League. City’s poor form in the Premier League has been in contrast to the European competition, with Pep Guardiola’s men winning all three matches by an aggregate score of 9-1. They were 3-0 winners when these teams met earlier this month and another routine win looks likely here.
Inter Milan to beat Real Madrid @ 6/5
Inter remain without a win after three games in Group B so the pressure is on them to gain revenge for the 3-2 defeat they suffered in the Spanish capital. Fortunately Real Madrid are in poor form, especially on their travels having failed to win any of their last three away games. They have only won three of their last games in all competitions and with Romelu Lukaku in fine form, the Belgium striker can give the hosts the edge.
Porto to win at Marseille @ 3/2
Marseille have proved to be the whipping boys in Group C after losing all three matches and failing to score a goal. They lost 3-0 at Porto last time out when they failed to register a shot on target, having previously lost at home to Manchester City by the same scoreline, while they have only managed five goals in four home games in Ligue 1. Victory here would leave Porto on the brink of qualifying for the last 16 and with both teams available at a similar price, they look the value pick.
Liverpool to beat Atalanta @ 67/100
Liverpool’s injury problems mean Jurgen Klopp will be keen to seize the chance to qualify for the last 16 with two matches to spare. The Anfield treatment room is a busy place at the moment and victory against Atalanta would at least ease the pressure ahead of the final two group games in December. The Reds won the reverse fixture 5-0 and proved with Sunday’s 3-0 win against Leicester that they have the squad depth to cope with several absentees. Mo Salah is expected to return too so a home win completes our Champions League predictions.
