We’ve picked out five European football tips for Saturday evening from Ligue 1 in France that will give us a 76/1 acca if they all come in.
Don’t fret if one of the legs lets you down because bwin’s five-team acca insurance ensures we refund minimum £5 stakes as a Free Bet up to £25 when a five-fold is placed on the same day and a single selection goes astray.
Angers to beat Nimes @ 6/5
Angers made a solid start last season, losing just one of their first nine games, and have been given a good chance to hit the ground running this term when hosting newly-promoted Nimes. Leading marksman Karl Toko Ekambi has moved on to Villarreal after netting 17 times in France’s top flight but Stephane Bahoken is a useful replacement judged on his form for Strasbourg, while playmaker Flavien Tait regularly impresses.
Montpellier and Dijon to draw @ 5/2
These teams have drawn three of their four head-to-head encounters over the past couple of campaigns and were only separated by one place and three points in the table last term, so there is every reason to believe they will be evenly matched again. Montpellier do have more scope for improvement but a division-high 18 stalemates from 38 games makes this a value pick for our European football tips.
Saint-Etienne to beat Guingamp @ 4/5
Saint-Etienne kicked of the 2017-18 campaign with a hat-trick of wins, keeping three straight clean sheets in the process, before going on to end up in a respectable seventh place, eight points clear of Guingamp in 12th. Former Sunderland midfielder Wahbi Khazri has since been snapped up for £6million after starring on loan at Rennes and scoring for Tunisia against Belgium and Panama during the World Cup.
Nice to beat Reims @ 4/5
Nice managed to secure 10 home victories in Ligue 1 last season and were pretty reliable when facing lesser teams at Allianz Riviera. Former Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has now come in as head coach after a decent start to his managerial career with New York City and he has inherited a team with a strong spine which can cope without the suspended Mario Balotelli against newly-promoted Reims.
Lille and Rennes to draw @ 21/10
Rennes exceeded all expectations when finishing fifth last season and have managed to hold onto most of their key players, with the exception being Sevilla-bound defender Joris Gnagnon. Young striker Theoson-Jordan Siebatcheu looks a nice capture from Reims and the visitors can start out with a solid draw at Lille, who only just avoided relegation but are fancied to fare better this term.
