Barcelona to beat Valencia @ 1/2
The Blaugrana will be seeking to follow up an emphatic La Liga title triumph by claiming a fifth straight Copa del Rey success, having thrashed Sevilla 5-0 in last season’s decider. Ernesto Valverde’s side crushed Real Madrid 3-0 at the Bernabeu in the second leg of their semi-final, with Luis Suarez bagging a brace, and will not want to let that effort go to waste, so this is an obvious pick for our European football tips.
Bayern Munich to beat RB Leipzig @ 11/20
FC Hollywood wrapped up a seventh straight Bundesliga title in spectacular fashion when thrashing Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 and are now fancied to add cup success in the DFB Pokal final. Head coach Niko Kovac has a great record in this competition, winning 16 of his 17 domestic knockout matches after leading Frankfurt to the last two finals – including when beating Bayern in the decider 12 months ago!
Sporting to beat Porto @ 13/5
The Lisbon-based outfit were unlucky to lose out in last weekend’s Primeira Liga clash between these teams and are rated a value bet to gain ample compensation in the Taca de Portugal final. Despite going down to 10 men on 20 minutes, Sporting bravely hit the front on the hour mark before ultimately losing 2-1. Manchester City target Bruno Fernandes, January signing Luiz Phellype and Dutch forward Bas Dost are all in fine form for the underdogs.
Napoli to win at Bologna @ 18/25
Carlo Ancelotti’s side were outstanding when crushing Inter 4-1 last Sunday and look keen to end another strong Serie A campaign on a high note. That was a fourth straight victory for Gli Azzurri, who have also secured six consecutive head-to-head wins over Bologna. Ancelotti insisted: “There’s great sincerity and professionalism in the group, as we didn’t have anything to play for in our last few games.”
Frosinone to beat Chievo @ 29/20
Both of these teams are already relegated from Serie A, but we still believe the hosts are worth including in our European football tips. Roberto Stellone’s side briefly threatened to pull off a great escape when winning back-to-back games versus Parma and Fiorentina last month, until a difficult run-in put paid to those hopes. However, Frosinone have been showing a fair amount of spirit and can at least go down in a blaze of glory.
